It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

OK.  I feel a great relief.  Thank you gov't for reinstating my unemployment! And double-thank you for the retroactive payments!

So, I'm turning the sale off Monday morning.  I have canvases, I have groceries, I have rent.

This also means I can see about another street fair.  

It's good, between personal life stress, unemployment stress, trying to work out what's the deal with that spa job stress, and still not being paid by old temp agent stress, I was not coping.  

Also, I notice that I'm officially less than 1,000 page views away from my next giveaway (saw someone call it a kiriban, but I've no idea what that's about.)  So, remember folks, grab the screencap of 40,000 page views (or closest to it) and win a FREE ANYTHING from Izile's Oddities on etsy.  First runner up gets 50% off, and sometimes, depending how many people submit screencaps and how close they are, I might extend other offers; but those are for sure.

Ah ha, that kirib thing was probably me ^^" Since I've been hunting for it since the beginning! Now, knowing that I've been looking for the pageview for so long I wont be the one to get it xD I hope for the best though! if not I'll have to scrounge up monies in the piggy bank for something ^^ Either way congrats!
