It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Restocked!

Well, the Flash Sale is over and everything is back up to regular retail price - plus I just restocked with 10 new Magic Vial pendants and 4 new bottles of From Faerie bath salt.  I also went and took a new picture of the From Faerie: Solar anointing oil with better lighting so now you can really see how much stuff is inside the bottle, and not just the pretty label :-)

I'm 'bout burnt out after this weekend (I also went on a MASSIVE cooking-from-scratch surge this weekend:  maple syrup marshmallows, pocket sized apple pies, pizza on a focaccia base, honey roasted pistachios, and full brunch with bacon, eggs and pancakes with mixed berry vanilla bean compote.  There will be fresh vanilla sugar later to think about From Faerie sugar scrubs, though. . .  But, my mint is all gone (whatever started killing it finished it off yesterday.  I do not hold hope for it going underground and coming back next spring.  . . I'm feeling vindictive at whatever critter stripped 5 different mint plants this summer and never bothered another section of garden. . . next spring that section is going to be reserved as the fairy corner and planted with pretty toxic flowers, like Foxglove . . . eat that whatever-bastardy-thing-you are.  

I might consider getting a potted mint plant for inside this winter, as I missed them so much this year . . . but I dunno yet.  My new room gets tons of more light, and mint doesn't need a lot of light.  It's fairly shade-loving.  Also, a mint variation makes the best blend with vanilla sugar for a body scrub.  I had really hoped to have a pineapple mint vanilla sugar scrub by now :-(

*sighs*  And soon I should be turning my mind to the holidays.  I'm already invited to share a table at the Dekalb Market here in Brooklyn sometime after Thanksgiving until the weekend before I go home for Christmas.  That will be an adventure; never done a "winter" market.
