I won a small auction lot of cut/faceted gemstones, ready for mounting.
I am pondering not only learning how to mount the gems, properly, in prong settings (I know a couple of real jewelers who might be willing to teach me and have tools) but also, maybe doing a couple of very limited vials filled with these finished cut gemstones instead of rough/raw, like I normally do.
So, my question right now is, if you were interested in a vial filled with cut/faceted gems, which would you prefer?
1) dry vial, no oil, no herbs/flowers, just a glass vial with wire wrapping full of cut/faceted gem stones.
2) dry vial, no oil, dried herbs/flowers that won't need oil preservative, like dried lavender buds or a dried rose bud.
3) regular vial, with oil, regular herbs/flowers and everything normal, just cut gemstones instead of rough
Would love to hear your thoughts and opinions. I'm really excited about these new gems, I really lucked out!

In the meantime, I did list that last hand painted venetian mask (the space one, not the leaf one) up on etsy for sale. (not ever selling that leaf one)
