OK, so I finally got around to cleaning up my Kudzu & Honeysuckle watercolor painting to be a print (had to clean up the digital version as I do not own the original - if it still exists).  I had a bunch of built up Cafepress cash, so I thought I'd test out their prints (also got a test print of my Swirly Frog on a sticker, too!)

The print turned out mostly OK.  I feel the Cafepress "Mini Poster Print" of 11"x17" was too big.  It was definitely too long vs thin for my original file.  So, at some point I'll have to take it into a print shop and have almost 2 inches taken off both the top and bottom.  Otherwise, it looks quite nice.  I do miss the texture from the original vs a print - but unless I opt for a fancy textured print (as available here on DA), I'm just going to have to deal.

Speaking of.  I cannot get DA to update my Kudzu & Honeysuckle print to the newer/cleaner image that was updated in the original deviation.  Anyone know how I can get them to do that?  Or is it just a delete print and resubmit? - And what are people's thoughts on the DA prints?  They seem kind of pricey compared to a lot of other on-line print shops, but is it because their quality is so much better?  or not?  Would love to hear thoughts on that.

- Huh, I'm also sad to find that in moving to my new system, my original swirly frog PSDs in large format seem to have gone missing.  Thankfully, I still have those originals.  (Swirly Frog sticker is absolutely cute, but the white background is oddly pixelated.  Need to double check that I used a transparency .gif on the it. - corrected now, anyway). *Added: I did just finish updating at least the Swirly Frog shop with all the new Organic items and such; and made sure everything that could was using the transparency frog, for no little background pixelation.

So, fishing for comments here, prints? where? thoughts? stuff?

I've got to say that I really like Da's print quality. It is a bit pricey, but there is a big selection of prints to choose from and you know it's legit. I've ordered 3 prints and they all look amazing.

Wait, I am confused about something. I just bought a print, then logged out and checked and saw the prints were the exact same price when I was logged out. If I'm buying my own prints for the same price as everyone else, what the hell incentive do I have to sell prints here? Even if someone bought one, I apparently wouldn't make any money, and I'm not getting a discount, so there's no reason to buy from them and turn around and try and sell my own art in person. WTF???

The flaw is that the artist gets screwed then =/
I wasn't aware you didn't at least get a discount on your own work! Now that I am.... I'd look into prices at your local shops. Even simple pharmacys can probably do the same quality and probably for cheaper.

Giving it a go. Bought a print from DA of my Fantasy Map. I still feel there's got to be a way I can get some printed (but less than 50 at a time) that's affordable enough to sell them at craft fairs and stuff.
