Also, I've been pet sitting up and away in the distant land of Upper West Side for the entire weekend, and that has kept me away from just about all things; even borrowing a computer, so not much to be done except lots of frequent long walks and making sure I'm here on a fairly tight schedule for not just walks but medications. But, it's a nice place, a nice lady, a nice old dog, and I really needed the extra.
Garden is slowly progressing, but not much yet is well established enough for harvest. It's being a very slow to get going spring, frequently barely out of the 50's, I think it's stunting things a bit. Mrrrg. I am anxious to get working on my new spring/summer concepts that all rely on herbs and flowers. I saw *one* wild violet in my garden before I left, so I hope when I come home there will be at least enough violets to do something small.
Also need to find more salts. My old provider of dead sea salts doesn't carry them anymore, and everywhere else I'm finding right now is 3x as expensive! Yipe! Also need to find new shea butter. I'd love to get it from a local market, like I found a few years ago, where it was completely pure and fresh, with the option of still getting it in part of it's husk/shell (what do you call the outside of shea nuts anyway?)
So, here's hoping. Still needing to drive up funds for these projects, so I will have to rethink another sale for the future.
