It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Suddenly and without warning!  I want to seriously craft like mad this weekend.  I've scraped up enough cash (thanks to an extra laborious cater-waiter gig - not normally my area of work - ) to order all new bottles, wire and supplies.. .  SO, to make room (in my mind more than anywhere else) I'm JUST RIGHT NOW, marking things down like crazy mad in my etsy store to try and make it more empty.  Out with the old so I can make tons of new!

The prices are already marked down, so you don't have to do anything different.  Just click the etsy link below and grab what little is left!  Sale will not last long (as it's just a whim that just hit me).

EDIT:

OK, finished up 10 new Magic Vial Pendants and 4 new jars of From Faerie bath salts over the past few days and am going to be uploading today.  Once I get all 14 new items up on DA and on etsy, I will be going back through and raising the prices at Izile's Oddities back up to normal retail rate (whereas, if you went as I am typing this, you would see everything (but two From Faerie items) marked down somewhere between 25% - 50% off!

Last chance!  I have to run to the post office to mail packages, but when I get back and eat, I'm going to be uploading more pendants like the Fairy Light one I just updated.
