Artist's Comments

So this is type 2 of my new experimental Constellation Pendants. This is the less likely to go on to become an actual product run. I thought that using bar-shaped rhinestones to mark the lines between stars in a constellation might be a pretty variation, and it works alright here for Cygnus (the Swan), but I don't think most constellations would translate well into this style.

So, this is a 1" round of super-sculpy polymer clay for extra hardness, coated in silver-toned sparkling polymer to give the correct color, inset with reclaimed antique rhinestones marking the path of the Constellation Cygnus (the Swan).

As all my prototype experiments, it will be for sale at Izile's Oddities for basically the price of cost.

what might be a nice variation would be painting the lines in between and then using small circular stones to mark the stars?
it's a fun idea though, I like it.

check style 1, Cassiopeia. That was the original style. Lines with circular rhinestones for stars.

I see! Yes, I like that. I like this style too, it'll definately be the better choice with certain constellations. But I really like how you can use different size stones for different size stars in the other version.
