Recovery

Thu Oct 22, 2009, 3:37 PM
Blarg. Seems I've spent the entire month in recovery from one thing or another. I'm just getting over my first (and hopefully last) cold of the season.

The 30,000th pagecap was grabbed, the winner has submitted her request, and as soon as the sapphires, rubies and peridots I've ordered from Thailand come in (ow, I'll take photographs, they're SO much more beautiful than what they have at the gemshops in Manhattan), I'll have her requests knocked out and uploaded for all to look at.

I've also just gotten a fresh batch of both bulb-bottom and long-straight vials. So, I do hope to be getting things back under production very soon. Sorry again that this month has kind of been a complete disaster.

If you want to see something new, my roommate, Aughra, who has done lots of costume and wardrobe work for theaters, tv and movies has just listed her first item for sale on etsy. [link] And I wrote a little plug for her on my blogspot blog [link]

Your vile pendants are very cool! I've done things similar, but not quite like you. I've looked up the meanings of different gemstones and have bottles of small polished gemstone chunks (not cut into gemstones like they'd put in rings and such, just chunks). I like the meanings behind the gems. I also thought I was one of few people that made jewelry from little bottles. I make them for myself cause I don't have funds or supplies to make enough to sell. The first little bottle necklace I made had fake gemstones that I took out of fake rings. They look like cut and polished stones for jewelry. I put a small rose petal piece and air fern piece inside the bottle. I think that bottle also has a rolled up piece of paper with stuff written on it, which acts as a cork as well. Green wire is wrapped around the outside with a small key with a heart shape end at the end of the green wire. There's also blue glitter in the bottle as well. I forget if I have a picture of it, but I have pics of a few things I've done that I wear more. I'm thinking of re-doing the bottle I just described though. Sorry this message is so long, but I found it really cool, interesting and exciting that you do this type of art/jewelry crafting. You can look at the things I've done that I have posted if you'd like. I really like your work! Thanks for taking the time to read this!

*head tilt* Darling, do you do any vials for back pain, or just any kind of ache? I would really like something like that, but I'm not sure what I'd request...
I love all your work. It's all so exquisite (sp? XD) and wonderful and inspiring. Just reading the descriptions of them kind of give me a peaceful feeling. It's nice. I love what you're dong.

"You're insane."
"Most likely."
"Why did you do that?"
"I'm not sure."
"You don't even know?"
"Nope."
"...I will never understand you."
"Because I'm insane?"
"Yes."
"Well sheesh. You could be too, with a bit of imagination."

We're all mad, here.
:iconmaria-neiti:
